Fort De Soto Park is rated as one of America's top 10 beaches. The Park encompasses 900 acres, consists of 5 pristine islands, and offers superb amenities. The park covers over 7 miles of waterfront, and boasts some of the finest white sand beaches available on Florida's west coast. You'll find camping, canoeing, fishing, forts, swimming, sun bathing, roller blading, kayaking, picnic tables and nature walks.

Fort De Soto Park includes 2 fishing piers, one stretching 500 feet into Tampa Bay, and the other reaching out 1000 feet into the Gulf of Mexico.

Fort De Soto Park provides over 200 campsites with picnic tables, grills, water/electric hookups. You'll also find washer/dryer laundry facilities, pump-out stations, modern restroom and shower buildings, play areas, and a camp store.

Fort De Soto Park offers boaters a boat launch area with 5 floating docks providing 800 feet of dock length.

A Canoe Trail was completed several years ago. It is well marked, and spans over 2 miles of water.

Fort De Soto Park offers five different nature walks in different areas of Mullet key. These can be self-guided, or volunteers provide guided walks on the weekends. A Snack bar is available at the North Beach facility.

Pets are allowed within the park. Some areas allow unleashed fun.

• This is the most beautiful place I have ever been. Beaches not too crowded and perfect for shell finding. My family and I really enjoyed the snorkeling without people in the way!
• We visit the campground every other weekend. That should say enough :)
